Knitting instructor

I have not purchased yarn, yet but I did order the James Bond T-shirt and the Fleece and Harmony pin. I proudly wear the pin on my jean jacket along with several pins designed by my son in-law. I’m waiting for nice weather to take a picture of me wearing the shirt for Jamesspotting here in Door County, Wisconsin, USA. I received both items very promptly and I enjoyed the enclosed treats❤️

Cute little boutique and good selection of yarn but like others I had a rather colder customer service experience than I was anticipating. There were no other customers at the store except for a group of ladies working together. I started browsing and was not acknowledged until I was right next to the group. And when asked if I needed help and I said maybe, I'm not sure which yarn I'm looking for, there was just no response or follow-up from the store representative. I was keen to support a local store, but I'll have to keep looking for a new yarn supplier.

I've been to this yarn store many times at different times of the year, on different weather and part of the day. Never did I experience any form of mistreatment from the staff, yet there is no doubt that there can be people working in service and behave outright disrespectfully. And it's hard to imagine it would ever happen to anyone in the way some people describe it to at this yarn store. We are all just human, life is beautiful and yet we all experience struggles every now and then, including people who work in service (obviously). And I find it so unfair that many people expect any more than a human in a store. Like baby drooling over yarn? Doesn't matter how small of a corner, although I'm sure it wasn't a tiny speck, therefore of course it is fully mother's responsibility to pay for it without a question. I have a very curious child myself and whenever I come to the store with her I am fully aware that if she ever even misplaces an object - it isn't staff's responsibility to clean up after her even though they'd be happy to offer help with that. I am sorry Wet Coast Wool's staff has to navigate situations like that and many more, left feeling like they've done something wrong, my compassion goes to you. Our life is our responsibility, our emotions are ours to manage, yet those who are looking to get offended will always find a way...or two.

This store fills a big need for a yarn store in the area! The shop has a great selection of yarn, including some locally dyed options which is always great to see. Additionally, the lovely person working was such an amazing help with picking out a colour for my project. I will be coming back very soon I’m sure.

Terrible experience. Rude people making me feel completely ridiculous for speaking English. Insisted a product I was looking for didn't exist. Don't go here!

As a visitor to Calgary and a knitter, a visit to a yarn shop is in my list. This new little shop was a bit tricky to locate but worth the visit. Located at the back of a house converted to shops. Close to corner of 19st SW & 34 ave SW.Owner Michelle was knowledgeable interested in talking ‘knitting’. The samples she had knitted and up in the shop were good choices with Free patterns and of course she sold the wool. So this visit to a 6 month old shop was totally valuable.Check her out!’

What an amazing experience. In an unassuming area, I was overwhelmed by how beautiful the shop was and how expansive their assortment of yarn was. For an avid knitter and crocheter like myself, it was basically heaven on earth. I will absolutely be back.
